Audubon Intrepid Binoculars
Audubon Intrepid binoculars are a cost-effective alternative to more expensive binoculars, yet they provide the optimum quality the Audubon name is known for. The series contains both waterproof and non-waterproof models, but all models offer good optics for activities such as backyard birding and sporting events. The non-waterproof models are lightweight with heavy duty plastic shells, while the waterproof models are just slightly heavier because of the full black rubber armoring, which provides a secure grip and shock resistance.
The Intrepid series uses precision ground, multi-coated lenses along with high index BAK-4 prisms. Together, these features provide high resolution and absolute color fidelity. The pebbled surface of the large focusing knob makes it easy to grip and turn. Pliable rubber fold-down eyecups will either conform to the face for long-viewing comfort, or can be folded down to accommodate eyeglass wearers. Audubon Intrepid binoculars come with a soft carrying case, ocular and objective lens covers, and a woven neckstrap, and are covered by Audubon's limited lifetime warranty.
