Leica Ultravid HD Binoculars

Leica Ultravid HD binoculars are a step above the Ultravid series, with 200 improvements on the previous series. New fluoride lenses, and new coatings, increased light transmission by three percent. One of those is the AquaDura lens coating, which repels moisture and fingerprints. Fluoride lenses are made mostly of calcium fluoride, which is a crystalline structured mineral. Unlike traditional lenses, the crystalline material greatly decreases the level of light dispersion, and corrects aberrations like color fringing, resulting in more natural and clearer images, even in low-light conditions.

The Ultravid HD series is made to function well in harsh weather. In addition to being waterproof, the high-performance Teflon disks inside the focusing mechanism allow the focusing knob to turn smoothly and easily, with little lubrication, and even at temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Leica Ultravid HD binoculars come with a cordura carrying case, a neckstrap, as well as optical and objective lens covers. They are covered by a three-year Passport Protection Plan, and a limited lifetime warranty.
