Nikon Astronomy Binoculars
The Nikon Astronomy series of binoculars features a couple of different types of astronomy binoculars. First, there's the handheld model, similar to standard binoculars, that gives the user the ability to view the night sky whenever and wherever. There's also a model that must be mounted to be stationary, similar to the far-range binoculars found at scenic overlooks and historical or alternately significant locations.
The handheld model boasts BAK-4 high-index prisms, which offer a high rate of light transmission, ideal for viewing the night sky. Special Performance (SP) glass and individual eye focus contribute to crisp, clear images. These astronomical binoculars are fully waterproof and fog proof, and completely constructed of metal for durability. The mounted model offers the same features, but has double the magnification, allowing observation of objects even further away. The handheld model comes with a hard case, objective and optical lens covers, and a neckstrap. All Nikon sport optics are covered by the company's 25-year limited warranty, and a no-fault repair/replacement policy.
