Tasco OffShore Series Binoculars
The Tasco Offshore binocular series are meant for exactly what their name suggests—marine viewing. They're great optics to take out on the water with you for several reasons. As you might expect, they're waterproof, in both fresh- and saltwater. The difference? Saltwater is more corrosive, and the salinity can be damaging to most other objects not built to withstand it. One model is even recommended by the U.S. Coast Guard for its reliability and performance.
In addition, Offshore binoculars feature premium construction, and include BaK-4 prisms, which offer bright images and clear resolution. The fully coated—and one model has multi-coated—lenses provide increased contrast and glare reduction, perfect for boating or viewing near the water. Also excellent for boating, one model has a built-in, illuminated compass and rangefinder reticle. All Offshore binoculars come with a carrying pouch and neck strap. Please note that only Tasco binoculars manufactured after September 1, 2002 are entitled to complete warranty coverage.
