Celestron Binoculars

Celestron is a leader in the world of binoculars as well as the second largest manufacturer of telescopes in the world. Celestron leverages its resources to create a line of products that mix quality with affordability. Any time you dismiss a brand like Celestron as “too popular” you are missing some of the distinct advantages created by that popularity.

Some Celestron binoculars
The Celestron Noble 71205 (8x42) features multi-coated lenses with a number of other features in a lightweight pair of binoculars priced in the mid-range. You can find these for under $200, if you look (or click) around. The Celestron SkyMaster 71009 (15x70) is essentially the same pair of 15x70 binoculars you might get from other manufacturers but lower in price. The 70 mm is a big objective lens that gives you a lot of viewing options. These can be found at retail for less than $100.

The Celestron Skyscout is a perfect example of what you get with a company that specializes in new telescope technology. Have you ever looked at the night sky and asked yourself “Is that Sirius or is it Rigel?” Celestron’s Skyscout is a handheld celestial viewing device that identifies (instantly) over 6000 celestial objects, including constellations, stars and more.

Binoculars

This neat little gadget took home top honors as “Best of Innovations” in its category at the annual Consumer Electronics Association Expo in late 2005. Okay, so technically these aren’t binoculars, but they are still a neat toy for the optics and astronomy geeks. It also features 240 x 80 magnification and comes in under 16 ounces in weight. This stargazer will be introduced to the broad public in 2006.

Other Celestron models
Celestron has one of the largest varieties of all binocular manufacturers. Many of these include Celestron’s exclusive “No fault lifetime warranty.” Other lines include:
  • The UpClose Series, which runs from compact to full size binoculars.
  • The Traveler Series, which focuses on compact, super-lightweight binoculars with high-tech capabilities.
  • The Outland Series is a series of sleek roof-prism models with waterproofing.
  • The Ultima Series features large aperture binoculars that are light weight, perfect for long distance viewing over extended periods.
There are also Celestron’s Regal, Oceana and OptiView. The Celestron VistaPix is a fabulous example of what to look for in a digital binocular. Celestron has many binoculars and optical products that will change the way you look at things.
